Leave them in and cut out the unfunny handyman.

Heck, I think they look great compared to the flopping lizard left intact.

Re: REPTILICUS flying scenes: to cut or not to cut?

The scenes actually don't look that bad compared to what they left in; considering that they added the incredibly silly green throw up effects, I wonder what AIP was thinking when they cut out the...

Re: REPTILICUS flying scenes: to cut or not to cut?

I voted anyway (in favor of these flying scenes) but just don't understand the sentence "scenes to be included in a film for US release". Are American audiences so different from the rest of the world...

Not really. All they did was add the "green spit" to the existing footage. So adding back the flying scenes shouldn`t cause any problems at all.

The Danish version was actually shot by another director, and has alternate actors for at least one of the minor parts.

Include it all, I vote, and leave it to the viewer to take what he or she wants away from the experience. As effects go, I have seen much worse and gotten past it.

Re: REPTILICUS flying scenes: to cut or not to cut?

I agree. There's far worse sfx shots out there than Reptilicus' flying scenes and I still can't understand why AIP cut them out. Same goes for Varan's flying scene in Crown-International's...

Re: REPTILICUS flying scenes: to cut or not to cut?

First I'd ever seen on those flying scenes. I thought they looked GREAT! Well… -ish. I think it's high time I re-visited Reptilicus. It played constantly on CBC in Ottawa when I was a kid. And as...
